
The BerliNordik Forum for Sustainable Design has been awarded by the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE), which is the highest German instition for sustainability.
During the summer 2010, BerliNordik organised three international exhibitions in Berlin, in two of which Hella Hernberg’s Bol lamps were representing Finnish sustainable product design. The exhibitions included also seminars and panel discussions around the concept of sustainability.
The Council for Sustainable Development is the official advisory board of the German government for the field of sustainable developement. The Council selected BerliNordik as one of the most remarkable projects in the field of sustainability. BerliNordik, the project by Create Berlin, INPOLIS UCE GmbH and the International Design Center Berlin is one of the first projects that was presented to the public as an outstanding example for sustainable acting during the Annual Conference of the RNE in Berlin on September 27th.
